Artel Awarded DISA GNS Task Order to Deliver WAN PHY Circuit in the Persian Gulf Region
HERNDON, VA, October 4, 2018 — The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)/Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) has awarded Artel, LLC a multimillion-dollar task order to provide a 2.488 Gbps (WAN PHY) terrestrial telecommunications circuit in support of U.S. Government agencies operating in the Persian Gulf region. This effort was awarded under DISA’s Global Network Services (GNS) contract vehicle, of which Artel is one of only eight prime contract awardees. Artel will use a full-duplex WAN PHY transparent wave backbone trunk to deliver the mission-critical services required under this task order.

OSD Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award
HERNDON, VA, September 27, 2018
Artel, LLC announced that three members of its management team have received the Office of the Secretary of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award. Service members may nominate employers “for contributing to National Security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve force.”
Artel employee Ashis Roy submitted the nominations to the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve organization, which is a Department of Defense program. On September 24, 2018, retired U.S. Marine and current National Guard volunteer Patrick J. O’Connor visited Artel’s Herndon, Virginia headquarters to present the following individuals with this prestigious honor:

- Jimmy Hogendobler – Director of Terrestrial Solutions Capture & Architect
- Jim Kubisch – Director of Human Resources, Security & Facilities, Facility Security Officer
