HERNDON, VA, February 2018 – The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has awarded Artel, LLC, a five-year task order to procure and manage 288 megahertz (MHz) of Ku-Band Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) capacity for network architecture requirements within the Southwest Asia (SWA) Area of Responsibility (AOR). The task order also allows for the ability to surge capacity in order to meet emergent and contingency mission requirements at any location under this task order’s scope. This task order was issued under the joint DISA/United States General Services Administration (GSA) Future Commercial SATCOM Acquisition (FCSA) Program. This recent win increases Artel’s total lifecycle portfolio of COMSATCOM business to just under $500M, with $150M in wins over the past six months, further positioning Artel as the industry leader in providing COMSATCOM services to the United States Government
